Angeli Rose De Guzman is an aspiring digital artist based in Dubai. She approached us to create a portfolio website for her to showcase her creations to the world. Not initially active on social media, we had to use this opportunity to make the designs, animations and micro-interactions of the website feel very fresh. The concept was a simple, Swiss-style design with two different font styles. Serif for hover text links and San-Serif for the titles and body copy. We rendered all images in WebGL to make use of the superpowers it provides. We created two different image effects, one for all the other pages and the other for only the artworks page. Even though the design was straightforward with lots of white space, we created the illusion of plentifulness using WebGL.
